Making and receiving homemade gifts is my favorite part of the holidays. I’m lucky because my whole family gets into it! Over the years I’ve bottled up and gifted organic limoncello, homemade vegetable broth, and even marshmallow fluff. Last year my dad made everyone homemade jars of barbecue sauce. For my birthday, Matt made me some running mix cds and a batch of frozen gnochhi. My mom is an awesome sewer- she’s made some lavish lounging pillows for Matt’s dogs, and this year I think I’ve convinced her to sew me some frilly aprons. And Erin bakes and packages up the yummiest biscotti ever.
I have been a sport nutritionist for 16 years. My specialty is around protein. The human body need specific amino acids and specific levels to function properly. An incomplete protein exists only in the sense that this protein by itself does not supply the need protein values for a human being. There is so much science to support this that your insistence against it is dangerous and life threatening. No one is making a judgement call against vegans or vegetarians, this is a respected choice. What is important is the health of the individual.
The fungi (molds) that cause athlete's foot require warmth and moisture to survive and grow. There is an increased risk of infection with exposure to warm, moist environments (., occlusive footwear—shoes or boots that enclose the feet) and in shared humid environments such as communal showers, shared pools, and treatment tubs. Chlorine bleach is a disinfectant and common household cleaner that kills mold. Cleaning surfaces with a chlorine bleach solution prevents the disease from spreading from subsequent contact. Cleaning bathtubs, showers, bathroom floors, sinks, and counters with bleach helps prevent the spread of the disease, including reinfection.
